Budding art educator and facilitator, Victoria Grullon, is an artist that looks to creative expression as a means of bringing to life new worlds. They find It fascinating how past and present cultural identities hold keys to truths that helped them visualize and act on their future. During their time at the School of Art + Design, Victoria has impacted classrooms throughout the CU area. Community and opportunities to work with youth are a top priority. Victoria has fully curated and directed a summer arts camp for children, which was funded through the Nash Summer Art Fund. She has also served as a judge for the Illinois Student Art Association’s Annual Art Convention. In addition, they have supported the Stratton Elementary community by working on a mosaic-based school beautification project under the guidance of Mandy Danowitz. Victoria has also made an impact with Chicago Public Schools as student teacher at Burley Elementary and Taft High School. She will serve as a One Summer Chicago Manager for Summer 2024, which is expected to serve inner city high school students pursuing college credit courses and professional development opportunities.
