People feel various emotions when they look at artworks, and their emotions while viewing artwork depend on their background or how they view the world. As time developed, painting became one of the artworks containing various meanings, away from the purpose of recording history. Objects have forms, but there is no fixed form for the emotions we feel in our lives. Therefore, I decided to produce abstract paintings based on the question, “How to express emotions abstractly on a canvas?” Based on the questions, I considered the way of expressing diverse emotions and my thoughts on the canvas. I tried to visualize the flow of emotions to people through works of art under the theme of representing emotions and fulfilling the process of stacking layers on the canvas using different colors and textures, just like writing a diary day by day. My artistic journey began with a focus on realism, learning to observe objects and people to produce accurate representations. However, I soon realized that significant stress accompanied my passion for painting. The pressure led me to shift my focus from form to emotion, and I began to explore the style of idealized painting that had initially sparked my interest in art. A new challenge marked the beginning of my exploration into the unique characteristics of my artworks. The monotone abstract image has been created by dismantling the flow of emotions and the form of nature. Not only do I convey my feelings and thoughts to people with my artworks, but I also enjoy the painting process with the hope that the viewers will interpret the painting in various ways with their thoughts. I want people to heal and soothe their minds by looking at my artwork even though they do not have artistic background knowledge.
