As a designer I design to create comfort. Everyone does but I come at it with a different approach. At first what comes to mind with the word ‘comfort’ are things like soft objects or maybe colors such as pastels. To me, this comfortable feeling should be one that users resonate with and feel welcomed to. The way I create this comfort is through my unique perspective. I innately bring to light topics that people know of in the background but aren’t really talked about. I then take that and identify an aesthetic that someone didn’t have an experience with before. I’m all for new ideas and approaches, but I think its important for people to feel welcomed into any products experience. That’s why I am so eager and open to many fields of design since I am designing not with a specific area in mind, but designing to hopefully share this feeling with others!
