Jalen Junious is a graphic designer from the Westside of Chicago. Art has been a part of his life since birth, but design entered his life in the 4th grade. He showcases a love for sports and design in his work, aiming to inspire others. Whether he’s working on personal work or a client’s project, he is always aiming to create something that is meaningful. The project “DuSable FC” is a Chicago-based soccer team created to showcase the many unnoticed talents of Chicago. There are many unique stories about the upbringings of legends on the soccer pitch. And yet in the US, one’s success is merely determined by the pockets of the parents. One of the team’s main goals is to operate as a pillar of hope for the unheard of Chicago. By providing a culturally inclusive environment, DuSable FC aims to provide opportunities for those who come from less privileged backgrounds.
