Hi! I’m Alyssa. Ever since I began designing years ago, I fell in love with brand design and illustration, but for my capstone project, I wanted to dig deep to create something that combined both of those interests and was extremely personal to me.
Over the last few years and for a multitude of reasons, we have begun to drift further and further from those around us, and easy conversation seems harder to come by. I created this card game, Bridge the Divide, in an effort to allow people to get to know the people around them. Talking to strangers can be scary, but it has proven to be beneficial for both our mental and physical health, so this game helps you take that first scary step. The game features many different categories with questions that skip the small talk and get to the root of a person quickly in order to make meaningful connections.
