Yixin Chen is an upcoming graphic designer. Born and raised in China, Yixin is an international student himself and he understands the struggles many international students face while studying in the United States. He dedicated his Capstone project to helping international students better transition to their lives in the US.
Replant is an app that helps young international students who just came to the US better adjust to campus life and social lives. The app contains functions such as to-do list, event introduction, reminder, calendar, and a public forum. The experience of studying abroad alone as a young adult feels like a young tree being replanted on foreign soil. Just like young trees need lots of nutrients and proper care, young first-time international students also need a lot of support and guidance.
