Ryan is a designer whose interests lie in bringing people together and helping foster healthy relationships with oneself, others, and the world around you. He has a deep appreciation for design work that is inspirational, meaningful, and joyful.
His newest project, Sprout, centers around providing middle school students with opportunities to learn about and participate in the practice of home gardening through the use of specifically tailored growing kits and online community building.
Sustainable food and gardening practices are not readily available for many young students to partake in. Sprout aims to narrow this gap by easing students into the process of small-space gardening through a series of growing guides equipped with seed packets and other tools necessary for students to start their own home gardens. Once a Sprout package is purchased, students can also upload their plants into a virtual garden to share with friends and continually gain more knowledge about plants and gardening opportunities available to them.
