I was born and raised in Chicago and growing up, I enjoyed creative hobbies and knew when I grew older, I was going to pursue a career in the arts.
While taking my Graphic Design courses, I learned more about human-centered design and problem solving through design. I realized this was the career I always dreamt about; being creative while producing meaningful work. It was the perfect combination of fun and and I am so excited to continue my journey in the industry. I applied my design skills in various design organizations on campus and in my internships.
My goal for my design journey is to create positive changes through my work and challenge myself to design for the improvement of people’s daily lives. I want to tackle the obvious and subtle issues. The importance of design is evident in every aspect of our daily lives which is why I know what I am doing is worth it.
