My project is an exploration of my family’s history and what keeps us together. It expresses grief, love, and hope, while also representing the passage of time, cherished memories, traditions, and the functional and dysfunctional aspects of a nuclear family. Both pieces combine archival photographs with photographs I took to capture the beauty of my family and create new family heirlooms that can be passed down for generations.
