Emotions are an important aspect of humanity: they enable us to create the social bonds necessary for our individual and collective survival. People experience numerous emotions every day, something that makes life so rich. Instead of expressing this rich mix of emotions, however, we sometimes feel the need to hide them. In my work, I want to not only express my emotions, I want people to empathize and be open to a full range of emotions. I view my practice as an effort to record this spectrum of emotions in order to recall them in the future. To do so, I explore and use a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, and photography. Currently, I am focusing on the feeling of nostalgia that I experience during fall and magic hour.
