It’s difficult for immigrants to invest in gourmet culture and buy ethnic gourmet items as they’re either sold far away from these communities and/or online with expensive shipping costs. Therefore, this project seeks to introduce a mobile-unit store that brings gourmet products to lower-income to lower-middle class ethnic minority populations.

The value of this project is to uplift Latin American immigrants in urban areas that haven’t had the opportunity to indulge in gourmet specialty snacks. I’m unable to speak for other immigrant populations, but I can for the communities I’ve inhabited in the past twenty-two years.

I never had the access to indulge in high-quality products at a ‘cheap price’ until I studied abroad at Ecuador. This project is a starting point for low-income individuals in being able to purchase affordable high-quality snacks.
