TJ is a designer because of the unique way he can discover and engage with the world around him through solving design problems. This core element of learning anything and everything has brought him through a variety of projects while completing his degree, such as the design of a home stereo system that connects all ages, a modular desk that allows the user to create the workspace they need, and an educational game for teaching recycling to young students. In everything he does, TJ looks to find and bring out the small connections hiding in each project. Whether it is the critical way an object connects with its user or the subtle connections an object conducts between others, TJ values interaction as a fundamental part of his process. After he graduates, TJ plans to find work as a product designer to help him continue his growth as a creative thinker and to discover new ways to connect the world.
