Carolina Alarcon is a graphic designer who creates designs that spark curiosity and intrigue. Her interests lay in obscurity, unity, and expressiveness. Let’s Talk focuses on spreading awareness about stimming, self-soothing behaviors. My project highlights the importance of stimming by including facts on what it is and by providing examples of the multiple ways individuals could stim. Inside the box is information about stimming and merch that creates space and promotes conversations around stimming. Since stimming is a primarily physical activity, I used a box as a primary medium. The physicality of the project helps to achieve one primary goal of spreading awareness around stimming while also allowing users to keep and reuse the box and its contents.
