As a designer, my work explores where physical and digital environments intersect. I’m interested in visual culture, nostalgia, and making things fun. I see design as a means of enabling connection between people.

Due to my own feelings of isolation this past year, I decided to create a project I could share with other people. I looked close to home for inspiration and began a flyer campaign around my neighborhood. Although I tend to romanticize the idea of community, I hardly know my neighbors and never put much effort into developing relationships. Attaching flyers to bus stops and utility poles allows me to reach people I would otherwise never meet, requiring only paper, tape, and a printer. The project’s website allows visitors to submit flyer requests for me to create and distribute around the neighborhood. By encouraging others to be involved in my process, I hope to foster some local connection.
