My name is Avery Jane and I am a senior working towards a BFA in industrial design at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am an incredibly outgoing person and passionate about every project that I am a part of. My favorite aspect of any project is ideating with peers because not only do they bring great ideas to the table, but they will also push and encourage you to do your best. I am constantly inspired by the people and world around me and believe that communication is incredibly important in and out of the workplace. _x000D_
Throughout my tenure at university, I have had several internship opportunities including roles in startups and corporate companies, as well as working freelance. My work in these roles allowed me to work on large- and small-scale furniture as well as a wide variety of products. I have a very open mind in regard to what kind of projects I want to work on in the future. I genuinely enjoy throwing myself into something new and personally believe that it is one of the best ways to learn. Thanks to my incredibly gifted family I grew up with a background in woodworking, graphic design, 2D art, photography and sewing, as well as many crafty hobbies. I feel that this gave me a unique ability and approach to visualizing and executing concepts from start to finish.
