Art Education

This degree provides ideal circumstances to pursue studio activities and study art history while gaining accreditation to teach art in K-12 schools in Illinois and elsewhere. Sequentially under the guidance of faculty and graduate students, students in this program are introduced to teaching in three courses: our nationally recognized Saturday School for children; Thursday School, and a semester in a public school. Art Education majors are encouraged to pursue a double degree in studio, design, or art history.
