Baúl is a branding projected created for women in Chilean communities. The translation of baúl is chest in Spanish (thought of as a chest for clothing). A baúl can be passed down, which inspired the brand name. There is a need for second hand stores in Chile since there aren’t many. The brand strives to change the negative stigma around used clothes by making it more fashionable and appealing. Ultimately the goal is to inspire more second hand shops in Chile and make the consumers more conscious about the fashion industry’s impact on climate change.
