Ji Hyun Han is a South Korean artist producing work that explores displacement, time, and experience. She creates paintings that are not restricted to a gallery or studio wall, altering perceived space by hanging artworks constructed from glass or mirror. This form is juxtaposed with European paintings which were represented as windows on the wall, through which we look into an illusionistic space. Ji Hyun’s multi-sided surfaces invite the audience to view art with their eyes and bodies from many different angles, creating a critical confrontation that is at once physical and conceptual.
