My subject of this project is the ties that link my history to a place that I haven’t known until four years prior. I grew up in the mountains of Colorado. My entire life has been in those mountains and in the front range. That was all I knew for eighteen years of my life. However, out here in midwestern Illinois between the corn and soy bean fields, there is a deep connection and a deep history that flows thru the ley lines of these towns. A connection that connects me — someone who has no personal memory of this town — very deeply with a connection that runs three generations deep.
